Legal Question in Business Law in Minnesota
Copyright/Book laws
There is a leadership book entitled ''Leadership Challenge'' and it consists of five principles: Encourage the Heart, Challenge the process, Inspire a shared vision, Model the way, and Enable others to act. I wanted to take these five principles and use them for Christian leadership by changing them to: Inspire Jesus' vision, Challenge the norm, Enable others to grow, Encourage the soul, and Be the example. If I put together a book and development kit and give them the credit for the principles and do not claim them as mine, will that be alright? Or do I have to get written permission to use them eventhough they are different because of the topics in which they will be representing? Thank you for your time.
