Legal Question in Business Law in Minnesota
is this against the law
I went online & ordered a gift certifcate to be sent to someone for Christmas. It never arrived. I e-mailed the company they finally said they would refund the price of the certificate but not the shipping charges. They told me I had to call the shipper and get it from them. The shipper said they didn't deal with me but the company . They did call the company and finally got this company to say they would send the money when they got it from the shipper. The thing is the shipper made the mistake in delivery and sent it back to the company. The company did not even try to contact me, they just kept the merchadise that I paid for.
The partner manager at this company was very rude during all of our conversationsand made it out to be my fault for not taking care of my business of checking up on this.
So, I sent out a couple e-mails to restaurants that this company does business with telling them how they tried to rip me off and how rude they are. Now the company can suddenly find my phone number to call me & tell me to stop harassing ( his words) their customers. Is it against the law for me to tell the restrauants he deals with the truth about what happened?

Re: is this against the law
You could be sued for interfering with a contractual relationship. you are walking on treacherous ground and I would suggest that you stop contacting the businesses clients. If you must, make a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. If you persist, you may find yourself a party in a civil legal action.
