Officially "no," but as with nearly every area of law there are exceptions and exemptions. 5th degree possession of a controlled substance is considered a "crime of violence" (although I question why) - Under 609.165 your right to possess a firearm has been terminated for the rest of your life. But under the same statute you can appeal to the court for reinstatement of your right to possess a firearm to the courts for good cause.

Long story short, you can ask the Courts to let you own firearms - Feel free to contact our office if you have further questions (612-217-0077)
