If someone signs a hand writtten contract with a person and that person then gives the other party Power of Attorney after the contract was signed to change the status of the contract does the POA supercede the written contract?

Quite possibly. Depends on the language of the contract and the scope of the POA.

Was it a Statutory Power of Attorney under MN Statutes?
