Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
Can you be charged with an offence if someone calls the police on you saying you commited a crime and gave a statement, but the police never talked to you at all. But three months down the line you get charges in the mail to appear in court. Is this legal?

Yes, that happens often. Not giving a statement to police will help the defense. Lack of police investigation can help the defense. Get a lawyer. Fight it.
