Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
felony charges
What is the likelyhood of me getting jail time, and how long? I believe I am going to be charged with two counts of felony charges for theft. I have no priors, this is my first offense

Re: felony charges
The odds are pretty good that you will get some jail time if you are convicted. The amount of jail time can depend on a lot of variables, such as the value of what was stolen, whether it has been returned, and your relationship with the victim (if any). It is very important that you have a competent, criminal defense lawyer working with you in this situation.
