Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
My husband gets a phone call from "someone"saying thathe took out a loan for 400 dollars or so and didnt pay it back.Which we never did!! they say they want money or he is going to jail. They also stated that they have his social sec # the name of his bank and where he works. We told them we never recieved no loans in 2011 and they argued for a while . they keep callin and you can barly understand them cause of there axcent. What should we do ??????????????

Contact police to make a report, then the Minnesota Attorney General's Office - Consumer Division. Then, hang up on that caller or block their calls. It sounds like a variation on an identity theft scam.
It sounds like a scam. Report it to police immediately. In fact, tell them you would be happy to meet them with the police present. I imagine that will put a stop to the calls quickly.
