Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
Minor Party Involving Alchohol
A few weekends ago my son had a party in our garage. We came home and found minors were drinking. 10 minutes later our garage door opened and a police office walked in. 1st do they have a right to walk in our garage without knocking? 2nd since we were home and there were minors drinking what type of charges could we possibly be looking at. We were told it is up to the County Attorney if we will be charged. Our son was issued a minor consumption he blew a .002. Nine other minors also received minor consumptions.

Re: Minor Party Involving Alchohol
don't think they can enter a closed garage without a search warrant.
You should seek the advice of an attorney in your locality.
I'm not certain of what charges you would face, maybe none. (Did you
know they were drinking? I can tell you that if one of them had driven after drinking at your residence and gotten into an accident, you could have been in trouble)
