Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
I got a paper saying i qualified for an adult diversion program, and the diversion conference is scheduled for before my court date, do i need an attorney? and what is the conference for?

I urge you to confer privately with an experienced attorney prior to making such decisions, prior to the diversion conference (whatever that is.... orientation?) Diversion programs abound and they vary in type, vary location to location. There are situations and circumstances in which a defendant would not want to elect to participate in a diversion program.
