Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota

Should I plead guilty to an underage consumption charge (18-20) and giving a false D.O.B. if I told the officer I had been drinking? For background information, I was walking through a park with half a beer in my hand when I was stopped and wasn't intoxicated. I realize it was stupid and I'm just wondering what would be the best way to get the most lenient sentence possible.

I suggest to you that the best thing for you to do is to confer with your own attorney as she should know your case details, criminal history (if any), etc., as well as anyone. It is not wise to post such details on a public website.

No. I do not recommend pleading guilty. These are misdemeanor criminal charges. Pleading guilty would mean creating a permanent criminal record for yourself. Instead, I would strongly suggest that you speak to a couple of criminal defense attorneys and get someone retained.
