Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota

Hi, I have a question regarding a incident that happened between my 'ex' and myself. About a month ago, we had a argument that my cell phone ended up broken and he took the base to my house phone so I was unable to call the police if I wanted to, at the time I guess I really wouldn't have called the police but I was just so mad that he took the phones and left I eventually did hours later. I do not believe he intentionally meant to break my cell phone and later I found out my base to the house phone was sitting in my garbage, so he did not exactly take the phones. He did leave and just thinking about the situation made me mad so out of anger, I called. I am now 5 months pregnant with his kid and he has court this thursday 6/10/10. Because of that incident there is a 'no contact order' and he was charged with interefere with 911, domestic and disordly?? The day he was released from jail a advocate lady called me and said if I wanted to maybe drop the 'no contact order' to show up at his court date. I have so many questions but she will now not return my calls? My question is, do I just show up expecting to ask the judge to lift the no contact order? My ex is missing everything in my pregnancy I feel like, that I know he wants to be there for. We have not talked, I have just heard things through friends/family. I have never been to court or anything so I don't know exactly what to do, I want to confirm his court time, do I just call the court house? Will they tell me? So confused, hope to get a answer soon, thanks in advance!!

If you want to have the order lifted, go to court and ask the Judge. You can get the court date by calling the courthouse. Remember you are not obligated to do any of these things, same as you are not obligated to talk to the cops or the prosecutors. If the court issues a subpoena for you to show up at a trial, then you will have to show up per the subpoena.
