Legal Question in DUI Law in Minnesota

My 93 year old father in law had his grandson put on the title of his truck ,because he wanted him to have it when he passed .His grandson had his second DUI in one year so even though he lives in Hawaii and grandpa lives in MN. the state made him put DUI plates on the truck .Now grandpa refuses to drive the truck and this whole situation has the family concerned for his health . Can't he get the grandsons name taken off the title, and if not is there anything we can do to show he is an innocent victum here if he were to be pulled over .He's so affraid of being pulled over that he won't drive at all and were affraid something will happen to him because he's so worked up over this .

I am not sure of the time frame in which you are situated. I suspect that you have elapsed the required time frame for Judicial review.

Was grandson's DUI in MN, or IN Hawaii?

In any case you won't stand a chance without hiring a lawyer to take a look at all the paper work. I recommend a local attorney who is familiar with the jurisdiction.

Generally however whiskey plates are put on vehicles which are jointly owned. Good Luck
