If this is a Minnesota matter, the answer is that it is possible, but not likely.
Some prosecutors will offer as Stay of Imposition which, by their definition, means that after the probationary period the charge is vacated and dismissed. This happens in Minneapolis on occassion. It would still appear on your record, but wouldindicate a dismissal. If that does occur, you may seek to expunge the record which would remove the notation from your driving record.

The Michigan Secretary of State maintains your driving record for 7 years. However, if you were convicted of a misdemenor then you would be required to file a motion to set aside the conviction in the County you obtained the conviction. This motion can only be filed after 5 years from the date of conviction and you can not have any other convictions on your record.
If you are looking to have the conviction expunged, you should contact an attorney to assist you.

Probably not.

If you pled guilty it would normally not be removed from your public court record, ever. In Minnesota, the Dept of Public Safety removes typical petty misdemeanor traffic violations after about five years, from the public drivrse license ("DL") record. Without checking, I'm not sure if a Careless Driving misdemeanor would come off the DL record after five years. Could be seven years. You could cal them and ask.
