First, you need to speak with an attorney in person. Those charges are too serious to be giving brief advice over the internet. I would be happy to meet with you for a free consultation. However, please keep in mind there are timelines that are running right now, the sooner you come in the better. Please contact my office to set up an appointment.

That question is quite broad, therefore one could write a book in attempting to answer, and it still would not be enough. The serious Criminal Vehicular Operation cases are felonies which can not only result in loss of drivers license of up to ten years or more, civil liability for money damages, but also result in many years in prison, and deportation of non-citizens. These are serious cases.
The short answer is get the best DWI-criminal defense lawyer you can, as fast as you can, and work as hard as you can. If you do those things, you should be on your way to making the best of it, perhaps a complete victory.

This is a very serious matter, and you're doing the right thing by seeking the advice of attorneys. The only way to realistically avoid this felony charge from becoming a conviction is to have a very skilled defense attorney representing you. I know this advice sounds self-serving since I am a defense attorney, but it's just the truth. Talk to some attorneys in person or by phone about your situation. Most, including myself, offer free consultations.
