''WN'' License Plate

My boyfriend drives around his boss that has been charged for DWI and his license plates say WNXXXX we have been trying to figure out what the WN stands for.

Re: ''WN'' License Plate

If a person receives a second or more DWI offense within 10 years, the plates are impounded and special series plates are issued. Those often start with a "W" and designate the owner as a personwho has multiple DWI offenses. It essentially makes the vehicle a target for stops by officers.
