my verbal abusive husband is threating me if i leave.he wil make me look bad as a parent .saying this to hold me here.

i told him i want a divorce.what can i do.can i leave.

Yes, you can leave. But, the information you provide is quite sketchy.

For example, do you have children? If you do, what will happen to them?

The best advice I can give you is to meet with an attorney. Many attorneys, myself included, do not charge for the first appointment.
