Hello. My divorce was finalized in 2007. In our divorce it awards my spouse the dinning room table and a few other things. They picked up the other things but never took the dinning room table. Its been 4 years since the divorce was finalized, are they still entitled to the dinning room table?

Technically, if the divorce decree awards the dining room table to your ex-spouse, your ex is still entitled to the dining room table. I have had clients send a letter to their ex stating they he/she has until a certain date to pick up their property and if it is not picked up, it will be assumed he/she no longer wants that item. Since it has been four years, I doubt the ex even remembers the dining room table but if you were to send a letter, it could possibly put your mind at ease.
