Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota
Insane Father
If my father is making a decision I think is insane (going to Italy to have a convicted criminal treat his aggressive brain tumor with baking soda), do I have any legal grounds to stop him? I am 28 years old.

Unfortunately, if your father is competent, he is entiteld to make decisions for himself whether those decisions are right or wrong. The only way that he could be stopped is if you file a court action to have him determiend incompetent, which would mean proving that he was not capable of making decisions for himself. The fact that you do not agree with the decision would not mean he is incompetent.
I wish you and your family well.
Re: Insane Father
A difficult question that requires more facts. If your father remains legally competent (which requires little more than he have some idea who he is, where he is, and the consequences of his actions), he is free to make bad decisions, even at the risk of his health.
