Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

If my sons mother has full physical and legal custody and i have visitation rights every other weekend he is 16 and she stops putting him in school and abandons him at his grandparents because she cant take care of him she also hasnt been abiding by the visitation order fo the last yeardo i have the right to take him till i file for custody so he can go to school till the court decides.

Hello. I will assume you are 'dad'. First, you are the parent & nearly always parents' rights are to parent their kids, not 'visit' their kids. It is persons such as grandma who 'visits' grandchildren. Parents are parents. Words, terms, are quite important.

As to your post, the facts & issues are somewhat ambiguous. I urge you simply to hire a very well-experienced attorney at this time & she definitely ought to be able to provide you with legal counsel & guidance. She will want to review the existing court order. She will have questions for you, such asking you to describe 'the abandonment' of the child by Mom.
