Most people may be familiar with the parenting time schedule of every other weekend and one night per week; however, if a matter goes to court, the judge must determine parenting time on the best interests of the child. There are thirteen best interest factors and if you go to my website, I have links to other websites that have articles about these factors. The facts of each case determines the parenting schedule. For instance, has there been abuse, has the father had any parenting time with the child, what has been the parenting time schedule, where do the parents live, etc.
