Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

My wife and I have been married for over 15 years and we have recently separated. She is with holding visits with my three children and won't let me see them unless she is with us. I have never been abusive and I don't drink alcohol or do anything against the law. What can I do to be able to see my children??? Please help me!

Unfortunately, without a court order establishing custody and parenting time, such issues become a tug of war. You have every right to see your children and have them in your care, but so does your wife. That generally means there will be conflict.

You must file an action for divorce, legal separation or custody to have a court determine your respective parenting rights, child support issues and other issues related to the children.
