Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Minnesota

I am wondering if a get a HRO for my minor child how long could it be good for?

She will be turning 18 in 3 months and it cost about 300.00 so I don't want spend the money for it to be void when she turns 18.

She has a 18 year old that keep on showing up at places she is at, texting other people to get to her (I have blocked all the contact numbers), etc.

I don't think I will have any trouble getting the HRO just want it to be valid for longer than the 3 months until she is a adult.

Thanks

At the age of 18, a child can determine who he or she will associate with. As a result, at that age, they can seek to have any restraining order dismissed.
