Legal Question in Immigration Law in Minnesota
My H1 is expired and my company has already filed for the extension and it is in the process. The date on my I 94 was Aug 10 2010. I have already booked a cruise from Miami which is taking us to Cozumel, mexico and Roatan, Honduras so I just wanted to confirm whether there is any issue going on the cruise and then re-entering at the port with this visa status? Also, if there is any issue with this status then is there any way of expedite the extension process? Your help would really be appreciated.
Thanks.

A visa and I-94 card are two separate matters. Extending status and applying for a new visa are also separate matters. If one is planning to travel internationally, he must have a valid and not expired appropriate visa. Otherwise, his admission to the United States can be denied.
