Legal Question in Immigration Law in Minnesota
I am on a student visa and was denied asylum. Can I travel to my home country and return (after about 5 years) to the U.S. Upon my return, I do not expect to stay no longer than two years.

If your visa is still valid and you are in a valid non-immigrant student status, then, yes. If a visa had expired, you will need to reapply for a visa at the US consulate in your home country before coming back to USA.
