Legal Question in Employment Law in Minnesota
In Minnesota my last paycheck bounced and then I was fired. I moved to Michigan and filed a claim with the labor department in MN. They said it would be a certified check but instead received another check which bounced as well. My question is can I file against them in conciliation court in either state?

Most likely, you are going to have to file your claim in Minnesota because that is where everything took place. Just because you moved to Michigan doesn't give it jurisdiction. Double check Minnesota law; you should be entitled to penalties in addition to the unpaid wages.
