Legal Question in Employment Law in Minnesota

overtime pay

My manager would not allow me to put overtime hours on my timecard. Are there penalties that could be placed on my place of business for not paying overtime?

Re: overtime pay

If you work overtime, you are entitled to be paid. Wal-Mart just got nailed in a class action lawsuit here in Minnesota for failing to pay workers overtime. You may want to consider bringing this to the labor department; they may investigate it. I have seen them do that before for someone who claimed that she was not paid overtime she had worked.
