Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Minnesota
Hi so I have an eviction question. My landlord told me I have until this weekend to leave. He came into our house unannounced after telling us for a week straight that he would be here the next day or between a few days and then the day he was suppose to come the he gave us notice for he didn't come. I have a cat and when I moved in I wasn't aware of pet fees until he came by to show the place. He gave me a time to get rid of him but I was having a hard time finding him a place. I have been late on rent and owe back rent due to not getting enough hours at a new job. The house is practically falling apart. The ceiling looks like it's about to come down. There are rats in the wall which he refuses to take care of. We've had bats and he's told us that's our problem. There are holes in the screens. The city isn't pleased with hm because he cuts corners and is hard to get ahold of. Do I have a chance if I sue him for not giving me the 30 days legal eviction and coming to our place unannounced.
