Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Minnesota

I rented my condo and had to kick
the renter out. I also had the locks
changed. The local college that owns
all but 5 units in the complex, gave
the renter a key to my place so now
she is back in. In the past I had the
locks changed so the college would
not have access to my place either.
What recourse do I have since they
should not of had a key to my place
nor let the renter back in. I'm
currently living in New Jersey.

Lawful eviction of a tenant requires a court order. Did you have a court order from landlord-tenant
court? If you did, it is a simple matter to have a court officer serve a warrant of removal upon the tenant and then lock her out. I suspect that you may have locked your tenant out illegally and that that is the reason the college gave the tenant a key to the apartment. You need to discuss this matter with an attorney.
