Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Minnesota

Rent and house is being forclosed on

I began my year lease about 7 months ago. Last week by chance I find out that the house I'm renting will have a Sheriffs sale next month and the home is being foreclosed on. I have attempted to contact the landlord and he is neither answering his door or answering his phone and returning my calls. My question is if I need to be making plans to move or what should I expect as far as strangers wanting to see my house. What are my rights? Will I pay him March rent? What about my deposit? Do I have the right to refuse people entry to my home?

I need to review your lease and contact the lender (or their attys) re: the foreclosure. THey may well want you to stay ( and pay rent) until the redemption period is expired. (Also, an occupied house is less problem than a vacant---crackheads and meth addicts tend to move in.)
