transfer of ownership while renting

My landlord recently sold the house I am living in through a short sale and the new owner says that we need to be out before the end of the month. We were in a month-to-month verbal lease with the previous owner. Is this something that she can do?

Re: transfer of ownership while renting

You sre NOT required to vacate until you have been given Legal Notice. On a month to month that Notice is 30 days, measured from the LAST DAY of the Month in which given. The earliest you could be required to leave for notice given TODAY would be September 1st.
