Legal Question in Personal Injury in Minnesota
I am being charged 5th degree assult and disorderly conduct for defending my self because a kid started hiting me first and I did not want to get hurt or anything. Of course I did hit back but with correct force in my dad (former Memphis police officer) and another police officer here. Could anyone tell me why I'm being charged?

Apparently, the prosecutor does not share your view of the facts. Self-defense is an affirmative defense that you with the help of your attorney are going to have to prove.
