Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Minnesota

Executors

I have two sisters and we are all identified as executors in the will. They live in MN and I live in FL. They have not provided me with any inoformation about my fathers estate and are making all the descions without informing me or without my consent. My sister was POA but I understand it is invalid now that my father has died. They are bullying me and acting like they have all the power. What should I do? I need your help please.

Re: Executors

If you were all appointed as executors and the Order was issued by the Court you have equal right in the decision making process. You need to notify the Court that you have been omitted from decisions.

Re: Executors

The answer depends on a few things. First, were you simply nominated in the will or were you actually appointed by the Court? Was this a pour-over will with a trust? If so, who is the trustee? Regardless, you likely have the right to challenge their actions with the Court. I will caution you that hiring an attorney to do that will be expensive, and it is emotionally very taxing. Sometimes, though, it is worth it.
