My sister and I took care of our Dad after he was diagnosed with bone cancer about 2 years ago. He died in January and had stated previously to my siblings that my sister and I should be paid for taking care of him. It was never written down, only verbal. Can my sister and I get paid for this as Dad requested?

However, in this situation (daughters taking care of their father), the presumption is that the services are gratuitous.
