Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Minnesota

My sister, who lived and died in Minnesota, was single having divorced over 20 years ago with one surviving child. Her mother and six siblings have survived her. She lived with a boyfriend for 15 years. She had no Will. With no will, I am wondering who is legally entitled to her personal possessions and distribution.

With no will, does this need to be settle by the courts or is it implied under Minnesota law.

Thank you for your assistance in this matter..........

The courts likely need to resolve this issue. Except for very small estates, the courts decide what happens. There are a number of statutes that govern how this situation plays out, and I highly recommend you retain an attorney to handle this matter.
