Legal Question in Criminal Law in Mississippi
drug charges
my husband got in trouble in two states. louisiana and mississippi. the two states did the same sentence, mississippi said the two years that he had to serve would run concurrent with louisiana but he served eight months in louisiana and he paroled and he was arrested in mississippi because he didn't serve enough time. why did they run it concurrent if they wouldn't go along with louisiana. can you be on parole in one state and locked up in another?

Re: drug charges
Obviously yes. CC means jail time. Mississippi does not have to agree with LA's decision to parole your husband. What Miss did was say the total your H would serve would be 2 years and they are sticking with that.
