Legal Question in Family Law in Mississippi

Child Support, & Visitation rights & requirements

Is there a requirement in this state that my ''X'' (who has total and complete custody, control, and care of our child)has to provide a home and support for our child?

She doesn't!

Why must I be forced, as a non-custodial parent with no legal rights over my child, to pay my ''X'' a percentage of my salary and for her to provide no support for our child?

It just doesn't seem fair.

Re: Child Support, & Visitation rights & requirements

If somebody else actually is providing food, shelter, and nurture for your children, you ex can also be required to provide child support payments to the custodian in fact.

Sounds like you should consider filing a motion to modify custody.
