Legal Question in Administrative Law in Missouri

I had my boyfriend arrested for assault. He was on probation. We consulted his lawyer, who in turn wrote the city attorney a letter is signed stated the story was exaggerated, and ask the charges be dropped. I have now been charged with filing a false police report and have court on 7-27. I have witnesses who saw me after the assault and also pictures. I simply didnot want to press charges against him. He is now in jail on probation violation. Is it advisable to represent myself with witnesses? Can I call the prosecuting attorney before the hearing and talk to him about it? What do you advise me to do?

You need to have representation for this hearing. Hire a lawyer. Most prosecutors will not speak with a pro se Defendant without counsel in such circumstances.
