The easiest way is to hire a collection agency. Depending on where you are located and where the debtor is located, a collection agency may be your only practice solution.

It also depends on the size of the judgment and what court issued it. For example, if the judgment is a California judgment, it will need to be registered in Missouri before it will be possible to execute (garnish the wages or bank accounts) against the company.

If the judgment is small, you may find the only way to get it collected is to use a collection attorney.

There are many tools available to collect upon your judgment, some of which are very cheap and some of which are costly. If it's a large judgment and the debtor is good at hiding assets, you might want to talk to a lawyer for advice. There are many "techniques." Find out what income and assets they may have, bank accounts, etc. and levy/garnish.

With difficulty. If they let it go by default, they probably have nothing to collect against. If they fought it and lost, they'll probably make collection difficult too. If you don't know how to do it, and can't figure it out from self help books, and if the amount is substantial enough to have an attorney do it, feel free to contact me. Telling you to prepare the proper writ and levy documents is probably not going to help you a lot, even though that is what has to be done, once you search for and locate defendants' assets.
