Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri

credit card

I loaned about $2500 on a credit card to someone. I have a copy of these reciets. I would like to know if it would be better or cheaper to try to get this money or to try to settle the claim with the credit card company.

Re: credit card

Sadly there is nothing you can do with the credit card company if you approved the charge or let the other person use your card with your knowledge.

You can sue this person for the full amount in Small Claims Court without a lawyer. It is an easy process you can find information about on the web by going to www.mobar.org

Good luck.

Re: credit card

I assume you mean you loaned $2500 to someone by putting the $s on the your credit card. If so, you need to take care of your credit first by making the required timely payments. The third party has nothing to do with your status with your credit card. It is your credit rating which would be effected no matter what the reason.

You could always go after the other party to collect the amounts which I assume you can prove were loaned by you to him.
