Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri
breaking and entering and stealing
How can a person get into trouble over the same crime over and over when the case has been dropped, lie detector test says he's innocent and witnesses say he's innocent? The crime happened in 2002 and he wasn't even in the area. The lawyer told him to plea guilty although he wasn't and he told the judge this after the fact.

Re: breaking and entering and stealing
I need more information to fully process this thread. "He told the judge this after the fact" indicates that a guilty plea was entered. Was it entered? Did the judge allow the guilty plea to be withdrawn? or how long has it been since the plea was entered? The rules for withdrawing guilty pleas are strict. If you are in the Kansas City area, call me at 816-842-3717, and we can discuss it. Good luck.
