Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

Credit Card Fraud - I need help.

I attend a university in Missouri. Recently some friends stole a credit card and used it to make illegal purchases. I was with them on one purchase he made. They, however, have 5 counts against them. Forgery of signatures, theft of card, etc. However, I did not use the credit card, etc and I walked out of the store when i knew what he was going to do. Yes, I knew it was stolen. I think I am being charged with an accessory count to their credit card fraud. I did not get anything from doing this nor did I help with it. I would like to know what type of penalty I should be expecting??? I'm 18 years old, and I may be kicked out of my college for this. Please, any assistance would help. Also, I am on camera entering the store with my friends, however, i did leave as soon as the act was taking place. I walked out of the store and did not go through the checkout line etc with them. So basically, what is going to happen to me?

Re: Credit Card Fraud - I need help.

You have not provided enough information for me to evaluate your potential penalty. Are you being charged in Federal, County, or Municipal Court? What exactly are you charged with? Do you have any prior adult or juvenile offenses?

You may contact me directly at [email protected] or an attorney in your immediate area. Contact someone, especially if this could get you kicked out of college.

Good Luck
