Re: Drivers License

Everyone has the right to represent themselves, but it is not usually a good idea. Filing for a 10-year reinstatement is not just simply filing a form and getting your license back automatically. You must file a civil petition in the circuit court where you were last arrested, and depending on your driving record / criminal history, an attorney from Missouri Director of Revenue may file an entry of appearance and attempt to deny your reinstatement. You see, it is not actually a 10 year suspension but a lifetime suspension where you are eligible after 10 years to petition the court. Whether the court grants the return of your license is discretionary. In other words, you should get an attorney to do it for you. Our office handles these matters if you would like help.
