Re: internal investigation
The answer to your question may depend upon where you work, whether you are under contract, whether you are a member of a union and other factors. Normally, the law does not require an employer conducting an internal investigation to disclose all related documents to the person being investigated. If you are formally charged with a crime, your attorney will be able to obtain discovery of basically everything that the prosecution intends to use against you at trial. Sometimes it is a good idea to consult with legal counsel at the beginning of an investigation, and I would suggest that you do so.
