Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

I need a lawyer to represent me and my daughter in a deposition. I have submitted an affidavit of non-prosecution to the court, but still have been subpoena into coming in for the deposition and hearing. Can someone tell me what to do now? I don't want to go. If I don't show up will they arrest me? Will I have to be bailed out? Can they take my children away from me if I don't cooperate?

If you have been subpoenaed and properly served in any case, you can be held in contempt if you do not appear, and yes that means you can be arrested. I would need to know more information to know whether you could assert your 5th Amendment rights and remain silent during questioning. Would need more information to answer the rest of your question. Call for further information. Best Regards, Matt Guilfoil
