Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

Statutory Sodomy

My boyfriend has been charged with statutory sodomy in the first degree and I have been doing some research on the matter and what I have found out is that the girl that he might of had sex with was 14 years of age and the law for missouri says that if she was under 14 years of age then he is looking at a lifetime sentence in prison. He has no prior convictions, it was constentual between the both of them. I just wanted to know what exactly are me and him looking at as in a sentence. Plus there was a warrent out for his arrest saying that he feld missouri which he did not. What do I or should he do?

Re: Statutory Sodomy

If these charges are pending in one of the Circuit Courts in the Eastern half of the state, I may be able to help. Normally, an attorney will be able to either get the warrant cancelled or at least set up arrangements for Bond before voluntarily surrending the defendant for processing. In regards to the rest of your question, I would need to see the court file to tell you exactly what he is facing. I have no doubt that it would be in his best interest to hire a competent attorney as soon as possible. This will be easier to do before he is arrested. You may call me for a free telphone consultation at 314-727-2822.
