Re: stealing

A class C felony carries up to seven years in prison. However, a criminal defense attorney will be able to advise whether or not the charge can be defended. If it is likely that the state would be able to prove its case, then the criminal defense attorney may be able to negotiate a plea bargain under which the defendant would avoid going to prison. Please consult with, and hire, an attorney! If you do not already have an attorney, you may call me for a free consultation. I have handled many similar cases over the last thirty years.

Re: stealing

Your sis ter should at least consult with a criminal defense attorney, to decide if she wants to hire one to represent her. It is likely that she will do better with representation. As afirst time offender, an attorney may be able to negotiate a no jail deal, or get her acquited.

Good Luck
