Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

My 11 year old lives with me. My ex sees child on a limited basis (ex's choice) and pays child support, but has never paid for half of child's medical, dental... bills as decreed in divorce. Can I legally make him pay now, and is it retroactive if I have receipts of all I've paid? My child is not interested in seeing my ex more often.

You may want to consider filing a Motion for Contempt against your ex for refusing to pay his half of the expenses as Ordered by the Court. This is one of the best ways that the law provides for you to obtain some Judicial enforcement of the Court Order. You may also want to consider filing a Motion to Modify the terms of the Judgment concerning custody. I have handled hundreds of these matters in the thirty-three years that I hve been practicing law, and I might be able to help you for a reasonable fee if you are not already represented by legal counsel. Please feel free to contact me.
