Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Missouri
I have gotten served with a "execution/garnishment/sequestration order", due to my inability to pay a civil judgement. The items listed are computer, desk, office equipment, printer, copier and fax machine. Do they just show up at your door and take the items? Do I surrender them? How does this work? Thank you.

Unless you can raise an dobjection that the items are exempt or the Order is deficinent, teh deputies wil come to get teh items if you do nto surrender them. if you prevent the deputies from ttalking the items, then you may be guilty of a crime, or at least be iin comtempt of the civil Order. If you feel that this is going to happen, you shoud probably remove the hard drive, or have it (and any other memor or history) suffiently cleaned so that your personal information is not exposed to misuse or abuse.
Good luck.
