Legal Question in Immigration Law in Missouri

Hello. I am currently and 18 year old Canadian citizen. My mother remarried to an American citizen, and now lives in the states her with him. I also am staying with them. I would like to get my permanent residence papers started but I have to leave the country for a funeral in two months. I am afraid the States wont let me back in if I don't have my papers started, but I'm not sure what forms I need, and if I can leave the country while my paperwork is being processed. Any help would be amazing, thanks.

How long have you been living in USA? Since your moving to USA, have you ever left?

When your mother remarried how old you were at a time of her marriage?

Did she start immigration process for herself?

These are just a few main questions. Should you decide to schedule a telephone legal consultation or need legal assistance with this process, please email my office.
