Legal Question in Immigration Law in Missouri
I am a J-2 status legal alien, and I just wanted to know if I get a permanent job and want to change to a H1B i.e. working visa, will I be able to do that?

Yes, if an employer files a H1B petition for you while a quote is still available and it's approved.
Also, if you don't have a 2-year home residency requirement attached to your visa through J-1 vsa holder.
